INTRODUCTION

Kathryn practises solely in family law and has a wide range of experience including cases in:

  • Public Law Children
  • Private Law Children
  • Matrimonial matters
  • Domestic Violence Injunctions

Kathryn has experience in dealing with sensitive cases and has a personable but determined approach.

She has a particular interest in children matters and regularly represents Local Authorities, parents and children in all Family Courts, including the High Court. Kathryn has experience in dealing with public and private law cases with complex facts including:

  • Serious, life threatening non-accidental injury
  • Long term chronic neglect
  • Sexual abuse, including rape and inter familial abuse

Kathryn often presents seminars for Chambers on a wide range of topics, including the use of experts in family proceedings and shared parenting. Kathryn is available to provide in house training.

Kathryn is also able to undertake Direct Access Work.

Education & Awards

Kathryn was called to the Bar in 2005 following completion of an LLB law degree at Sheffield University. Kathryn was also awarded a scholarship from Lincoln’s Inn.

CAREER HISTORY

Kathryn undertook pupillage in Manchester and joined Chambers in 2008.
