Jo was called to the Bar in 1999. She is a specialist criminal barrister and has been an advocate in the Crown Court since 2007. Jo carries out Category 3 trial work, including multi-handed drugs conspiracies and Conspiracy to steal, assault and burglary cases involving vulnerable victims and serious assaults. Jo also carries out all category 2 work.
Jo worked as a lawyer for the Crown Prosecution Service from 2003 until the end of 2017. Previous to that, Jo worked as a personal injury paralegal and a noting clerk in multi-track civil cases.
