Introduction

Ffion is a Category 4 Prosecutor and is a Member of the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences panel.

She accepts instructions to represent both the Prosecution and Defence in respect of all criminal matters.

Recent cases, both reported and of interest:

Operation Orbit (2020) – conspiracy to import heroin and cocaine. Case involving encrypted phones.

Operation Tagatose (2020) – conspiracy to import heroin. Case involving encrypted phones.

Operation Vermont (2020) – Junior Counsel prosecuting multi million pound class A drug conspiracy.

Operation Tide (2020) – Junior Counsel prosecuting cross-jurisdictional county lines drug conspiracy involving organised crime groups in Scotland, Merseyside and North Wales.

R v SH – Successfully prosecuted at trial case involving the rape of two children.

Operation Jackdaw 2 (2019) – Junior Counsel prosecuting multi million pound heroin conspiracy.

R v G & E – Successfully prosecuted at trial case involving rape of a 5-year-old child.

Operation Jackdaw 1 (2018) – Junior Counsel prosecuting heroin conspiracy.

Operation Finch (2018) – Junior Counsel prosecuting multi million pound cocaine conspiracy.

Operation Zeus (2018) – Junior Counsel in 28 handed multi million pound drugs conspiracy in North Wales involving two sophisticated Organised Crime Groups.

Operation Ulysses (2017) – Junior Counsel prosecuting multi million pound conspiracies to supply Heroin, Cocaine, MDMA, Ketamine, Cannabis. This case involved over 30 Defendants and over 60,000 pages of evidence. Highest sentence imposed on a drugs gang in Wales totalling over 200 years.
