Anna Pope secures conviction in Anglesey crossbow murder

Anna Pope, led by Peter Rouch QC, secures conviction in barbaric crossbow murder. After a six week trial at Mold Crown Court, the jury found Terence Whall, 39, guilty of the ‘medieval-style’ murder of Gerald Corrigan, 74.

Terence Whall targeted Gerald Corrigan as he adjusted his satellite dish outside his house in Anglesey, in the early hours of 19 April 2019.

The assassin used a cross-bow from 10 metres away from his victim, and the bolt passed completely through Mr. Corrigan’s body, causing irreparable internal damage (including bruising the heart). Following the attack, Mr. Corrigan was rushed to hospital, but gangrene set in and he died almost a month later of multiple organ failure.
